The 1st and 2nd year Basketball teams had two tough games against Mercy Navan yesterday but were victorious on both occasions.
The 1st yrs had a great comeback after going 14-2 down in the first quarter and with some great defensive play, they won the match 26-18. Top scorers were S. O’Connor, G. Nolan and G.Clarke. Well done girls on a great team performance.
The 2nd yrs got off to a good start and were 4-0 in the first quarter. With great defensive work by all players, they were able to shoot some great baskets and the final score ended 30-14. Top scorers were C. Swords, A. Diamond, and R. Tully. Well done girls.
